Naika Colas is an NYC-based Sustainable Design Strategist Director and PT Professor. She is the founder of the Eco-Friendly Fashion brand; Jacques Louis, which focuses on creating trendy pieces for consumers using natural fibers, dead-stock fabrics, rPET materials, and recycled textiles. She seeks to change the way disadvantaged communities perceive environmental sustainability and product design, intending to adopt lifestyles of health and sustainability. Naika teaches in Parsons School of Design Strategies and Fashion Management programs, which introduces system dynamics in sustainable design. She specializes in business strategy, environmental sustainability, social impact, community development, and fashion design. Apart from fashion design and education, she works full-time at Ovation In-Store, as their Director of Sustainability. Naika holds a master’s degree from Pratt Institute in Design Management. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
